Lola Rossa lettuce seeds 1 g
Lollo Rossa lettuce is a semi-headed leaf variety with early ripening. The variety was bred by breeders of the German seed company N.L.Chrestensen. In favorable climatic conditions, 40-45 days pass from the first germination of seeds to harvest. Due to its beneficial properties, lettuce is in demand on the market; it is quite expensive, making it economically viable for growing on an industrial scale.
The variety is grown in open ground, in greenhouses and hydroponic systems. The plant is cold-resistant and can be planted in early March, as it tolerates even frosts down to -5°C. It loves a temperate climate, so in the southern regions it is recommended to plant only in the spring.
Caring for the crop does not cause much trouble. If planting was carried out in previously prepared and fertilized soil, then there is no need to feed the plant. Otherwise, watering control is required to maintain soil moisture, loosening, thinning, and weeding.
Lollo Rossa lettuce forms lush, semi-erect rosettes. The height of the heads is 25 cm, the diameter is about 30 cm, the weight is 190-250 g. The lettuce leaves are large, red-green, curly. It tastes crispy and piquant. Used fresh.
