Lolla Bionda lettuce seeds 1 g
Lollo Bionda lettuce is a popular semi-headed variety bred by German breeders N.L.Chrestensen (Germany). The variety is mid-season, from germination to harvest it takes 50-55 days. The plant is cultivated in open ground from spring to autumn; it loves moderate temperatures and sunny areas with fertile soil. It is grown both by direct sowing of seeds and through seedlings. The latter method is the best, since the ripening time is reduced, the plant better withstands the vagaries of the weather and does not lose growth. The variety has high immunity to common diseases such as powdery mildew, downy mildew, internal necrosis, and is not susceptible to lettuce aphids.
Agricultural technology involves controlling watering, namely keeping the soil moist, avoiding drying out or excessive moisture. In addition, the soil is loosened, weeds are removed, mineral fertilizers are applied if necessary, and the crops are thinned out.
Lollo Bionda lettuce forms a lush, loose rosette weighing 350-500 g with curly green-yellow leaves. The leaves are juicy, tender, with a pronounced nutty aftertaste, without bitterness. Greens are consumed fresh, are the main component of salad mixes, vegetable salads, and are used to prepare snacks and side dishes.
