We only have a few packets of seeds of this variety - 5 seeds each. They’ll take it apart, and it won’t be around until next year. The variety is very young. In Ukraine, almost no one has sown it, but abroad, collectors have been keeping it for several seasons and praising it: they say it produces well, and the taste does not disappoint, and it looks like you want to show it to someone. At first we looked closely from the outside, then we sowed it ourselves - now we offer it to you. This tomato is dark and very beautiful. The fruit is almost black on top, almost blue, and crimson underneath. And each one comes out differently - you won’t find the same ones on the bush. The fruits are large, 250–400 grams each, flat and round, slightly ribbed at the tail. The bush is tall, 1.8–2.0 meters, it will not stop on its own - you need to pinch the top. It cuts well: the middle is dense, there are almost no seeds, it does not let in juice. The taste is sweet, with a slight sourness. I put it in slices, pour it with oil, a little salt - and you don’t need anything else. I’ll say one thing in advance: the sun gives the black color. In the greenhouse, the hangers will be lighter than in the garden. If you want it to be truly dark, plant it in the sunniest place. The period is average, we pick the first tomatoes somewhere around 105–115 days after germination. I lead one or two stems and tie them to the trellis: as soon as the brush gets full, the peg won’t hold it. Plant 50 by 70 centimeters. How to grow. Sow seedlings 55–60 days before you plant them in the ground. For most of our regions this is the second half of March. Before sowing, seeds can be placed in warm water for half an hour - they will germinate more easily. Keep the seedlings in the light and do not water them: overwatering seedlings is worse than underwatering them. Plant them in the ground when the frost has definitely passed and the ground has warmed up. I put a handful of humus and a little ash in the hole. For the first ten days, do not touch the plant, let it take root, then begin to shape it. Break out the stepsons once a week while they are small - this makes it easier for the plant. Tie it as it grows, do not wait for the stem to fall. Water less often, but well, at the root, and not along the leaves - water causes diseases on the leaves. Mulch the ground under the bush with straw or grass: it retains moisture, the fruits are cleaner, and you don’t have to run around watering it every day. Feed it two or three times a season. The first time two weeks after planting, then - when the first brush is tied. Just don’t overfeed with nitrogen, otherwise it will go to the leaf and there won’t be enough tomatoes. Storage. Keep the bag in a dark, dry place at normal room temperature - away from the stove and away from moisture. The seeds remain viable for three years, so if you don’t sow everything this season, they will sprout the same way next season.
